lyrics

Would you be wooed if I made you something good from the pages of some fashion magazine just to prove I could?
But no-one ever slew a monster with their ability to knit so I've been swimming twice a week in case we meet a giant squid

I've got craft skills like drawing and cutting out and sticking
but I don't know kung-fu so when the robots come...
I can't save you

I could paint a picture for you to hang in your room of a lion or something
Yeah lions are pretty cool!
And I may not be very brave but I know how to use a lathe so when the vampires attack I can make a big sharp stake

I've got craft skills like painting and measuring and knitting
but I don't know karate so when the monsters come don't hide behind me
I've got craft skills like hammering and sawing and drilling
but I don't know kung-fu so when the robots come...
I can't save you

I could make you a birthday card
a Christmas card
a Valentines card
a card to say I'm sorry or get well soon or thank you
And I can re-wire a plug and change a fuse but I don't know what I'd do if a robot came and electrified you.

Anyway, these are songs about being alive, which means they're about girls and God and doubt, hope, fear and joy, love and failure. I hope you can relate.. ... more
